Forest to Frets Hawaiian Steel Guitar Kits

In partnership with the Puʻuhonua O Waimānalo, Kealakai Center will re-purpose and up-cycle the timbers of invasive trees currently being cleared to restore historic agricultural loʻi Kalo. These timbers will be used to create Hawaiian Lap Steel Guitar and ʻukulele kits which will be assembled through educational workshops, introducing the craft and vocation of luthiery to at risk and underserved young people in our community.
